John is a 78-year-old [at the time of the incident] white male who was reported missing and found 4 days laterby police officers. He was taken to hospital and admitted as he was extremely dehydrated. John was eventually discharged back home after a clean of his property had taken place. Before this missing episode, there had been concerns raised to Adult Social Care that John was struggling to maintain his home environment (including his home being a fire hazard), look after his wellbeing, he was self-neglecting, and drinking alcohol excessively. Housing tried on numerous occasions to support him to move property, but John would often agree to move, and then change his mind later.
