Introduction to Safeguarding (Equivalent to Level 1 and 2)

This is a basic introduction to safeguarding which is suitable for all employees and volunteers. The course covers:

• The Care Act 2014 and the Statutory Criteria for Decision Making.
• Why is safeguarding important?
• Types of abuse/ neglect
• How to recognise abuse and neglect
• Responding to disclosures and allegations
• Roles and responsibilities

Only 5 people are allowed from each organisation, this is to make this multi agency. Unfortunately we will remove any more than 5 if the course has a waiting list to allow others from a different organisation to join the course.
