Rebecca’s presentation with be focusing on:

  • What is Modern Slavery?
  • The National Referral Mechanism and your obligations to identify, refer and support potential victims
  • ‘Cuckooing’ – police powers, toolkits and case studies.

This training is an opportunity to raise awareness and encourage everyone to do what they can to prevent Modern Slavery, Human Trafficking, and protect our most vulnerable, including those who are subject to Cuckooing, by being able to spot the signs.

Modern Slavery is taking place in South Yorkshire and not one organisation, charity, group or individual can tackle this alone. But together we can make a difference, it is everybody’s responsibility to protect people and safeguard them from a crime, sometimes they cannot see is happening to them.

Our belief is that everyone deserves to live their life free of coercion, control and fear and we will work hard to continue our fight against Modern Slavery in South Yorkshire”.

This workshop is relevant to staff and volunteers in children’s and adult services. Think Child. Think Adult. Think Family.
